Eastern Sweetshrub(Calycanthus floridus)Native from southern New York state to northern Florida and west to Arkansas and Illinois This dense, mounding deciduous shrub grows to 6 to nine ft tall and 6 to twelve ft across. Its native habitat is deciduous woodlands and bottomlands. It tolerates complete sun to colour and all kinds of soils. It is frequently extra compact in sunnier places.
